First thing is first, what is Crock A Doodle? It is a studio where you can transform ready-to-paint pottery pieces into your own amazing works of art. A lovely place for a family activity.
The selection is great, tons of different things to pick from, all sorts of different sizes, and uses, from usable food-safe (once "fired" in the kiln) plates, mugs, bowls, etc., to little trinkets and decorative pieces. Lots of colour selection, and they have these cool little devices to help you do more detail-heavy designs, little "writers", for lack of a better name.
Don’t forget to initial or sign the back or bottom of the item to help identify it as your own. The staff will then take the painted pieces and at the end of each night, they load up their giant KILN, fire it up and let it bake!
It's important to know that you won't be taking your pieces home with you the day that you paint them. You will have to come back the next day after 4pm once the kiln process has finished. ( the associate working said we can come up to two weeks later to retrieve our piece, they also offer shipping at a fair rate) You'll be amazed at the effect that baking the pottery has on it... it turns even the dull-ish colours into bright and glossy artwork!
